PROJECT BRIEF
Meeting the high standards set by director Matthäus Bussmann and Schweppes is always a challenge. Working with liquids adds an extra layer of complexity, as droplets gather on the glass, and there isn’t always time on set to ensure everything is spotless. As a result, cleaning up these elements in post-production became one of the primary tasks for this project.
OUR APPROACH
A major task was optimizing the readability of the labels, which involved 3D object tracking of the iconic Schweppes bottle, as well as rendering and compositing. In addition to these, we handled typical VFX tasks, including digital set extension of the swimming pool and removal of the drone shadow. A commercial like this demands the perfect product shot, so we enhanced the bottles in compositing, utilizing different takes and lighting setups.
Additionally, we completed the following tasks: clean up of liquid drops from glasses, 3D object tracking of the iconic Schweppes bottle, 3D rendering and compositing of labels, compositing different takes for the perfect product shot, retouching labels for improved readability, removing unwanted objects from the skyline and set extension of the pool shot.
