PROJECT BRIEF
We were asked by our friends from Moodley Brand Identity to create a fun & informative product-launch film for Ringana’s latest product – “Ringana Stay Fresh” – a hygienic foam intended as an environmentally sustainable alternative to wet toilet wipes.
OUR APPROACH
We decided to take a different approach to the typical 2D-style animation. We were provided with illustrations created by the talented Elisabeth Schagerl that we either animated directly, or translated into 3D objects. This 3D-for-2D technique can be seen in the flying toilet paper scene, creating an effect that would be unachievable with traditional 2D animation. On the contrary, we also used traditional animation techniques, such as frame-by-frame animation, to create a certain “look & feel” that wouldn’t otherwise be achievable – this can be seen when the woman in the film turns 360-degrees.
